What we're listening for

We have not picked up the Golden-winged Warbler at the dock yet. The microphones stay on day and night, so the first time one calls within earshot it will appear here.

About the bird

The golden-winged warbler is a small migratory insectivorous bird in the New World warbler family Parulidae. It breeds in southeastern and south-central Canada and in the Appalachian Mountains in the northeastern to north-central United States. The majority of the global population breeds in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Manitoba.
