Spring City Resort and Marina occupies a quieter stretch of the lake than the busy mid-lake marinas, and the operation reflects that. The setting is calm, the marina traffic is lower, and the cabin rentals draw people who want a base camp for lower-lake fishing, dam-area runs, and tournament staging rather than a social weekend destination.

The cabins were recently renovated and the updates show. The renovated units are clean, comfortable, and carry enough charm to feel like a lake retreat rather than a motel adjacent to a fuel dock. At least one multi-bedroom cabin has full kitchen facilities, two bathrooms, and two living areas on two floors. Several cabins have private dock access or a short walk to the water. Towels and linens are not always provided; check when booking.

Nick's Lakeside Grill is the on-site restaurant and has changed names in recent years (previously Long Hollow Grill). The kitchen is inconsistent. Brisket tacos and burgers are the most specifically praised items; the fries have been a weak point. The restaurant has a bar setup, serves beer, and runs occasional live music and karaoke. Happy hour pricing on beer is a reliable draw for anglers using the marina as a base camp.

The marina runs a floating dock with covered and open slips. The fuel dock is the anchor of the marina's year-round utility, which matters on the lower end of the lake where options are fewer. Hours run 10 to 5 most days, closed Sundays and Mondays. An RV area is part of the property as well.

The marina office staff are consistently praised as attentive and helpful, and the kind of presence that rescues situations when the property's infrastructure has a rough moment.
