Gizmo Isle is a small named island on Watts Bar Lake near New Hope Road in Rockwood. Most of the year it sits quiet, with no active management and open access by water. Once a year it hosts Gizmo Jam, a daylong on-island concert that brings the lake's social calendar to one of its most distinctive settings, with a stage on the island and the audience anchored or rafted up around it.

Gizmo Jam has historically run on Memorial Day weekend. For 2026 the date is Saturday, May 23. Set the date now if you want to be in the cove for it. The lineup, ticketing if any, and arrival logistics are posted on the event's Facebook page, which is the most reliable place to track changes: https://www.facebook.com/share/1DVHBVQL2h/

If you know Gizmo Isle outside of the festival, anchorage conditions, swim spots, what the rest of the year is like on it, drop us a note via the correction link below and we'll fold it into the guide.
